What is drywall?

Drywall, also known as plasterboard, dry lining, wallboard, sheet rock, gib board, gypsum board, buster board, turtles board, slap board, or custard board, is a panel made of calcium sulphate dihydrate (gypsum), with or without additives, typically extruded between thick sheets of facer and backer paper.

It is a versatile and widely used material for constructing interior walls and ceilings in buildings.
